1From the app (recommended — immediate)
The fastest method: deletion is carried out immediately, with no waiting.
- Open SpotVib and go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap "Delete my account".
- Confirm your identity (re-authentication), then validate the final confirmation.
Your account and your personal data are then deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.
2No access to the app: deletion request form
Have you uninstalled the app, lost your device or can no longer sign in? Enter the email address associated with your SpotVib account. For your security, you will receive an email containing a confirmation link (valid for 48 h): nothing is deleted without this confirmation.
Check your inbox (and your spam folder): click the confirmation link in the email we have just sent you (valid for 48 h). Without this confirmation, no deletion is initiated.
3What is deleted, what is kept
In accordance with our privacy policy:
- Deleted: your account (login), your profile (username, avatar, bio), your favourites, your subscriptions and followers, your notifications, your Vibs history and your quotas.
- Anonymised: the content you have shared with the community (spots, reviews, contributions) is kept but disassociated from your identity — the author becomes "Explorer".
- Kept for legal obligation: the accounting records relating to any transactions, in pseudonymised form (~7 years, Belgian accounting law), as well as minimal proof of the deletion (hashed identifier + date) attesting that your right to erasure has been carried out.
